Die Highlight | Slim Window Dressing

As soon as I saw the new Slim Window Dressing creative cuts, I knew they’d go super will with the previously released Pretend Play boy and girl.

So I started off my card by stamping and coloring in the boy and girl from Prentend Play, and cut them out with the matching dies.

For the card base I used the scallop Rectangle form the Slim Window Dressing creative cuts. On top of that I added the blue rectangle, which I cut using the plain rectangle in the set.

For the bottom of the card I cut a piece of grass using the long border die.
Using the same green cardstock, I cut the big flower box piece. I cut the small flowers and the flower box out of white cardstock. I used my copic markers to color in the flowers before layering them on top of the green piece.

Since I knew most of the windows would be covered up with the Pretend Play people, I kept them fairly simple. I cut the full square out of light grey cardstock, the curtains from white cardstock and finally the window frames from light brown cardstock. I didn’t want to cover up too much of the people, so I cut off the insides of the window frames.

For each window I glued the curtains to the grey backer, then the Pretend Play person and trimmed off the excess before adding the brown window frame.
I glued the windows and flower boxes to the card, making sure to leave room for the Hello sentiment from the new Mega Flipper set. I cut this out of white cardstock several times and once from gold glitter, layering them together to create a thicker sentiment.

Finally I cut out the cute butterflies from Slim Window Dressing in some light pink cardstock and glued one near each window, and the smallest one on the sentiment.
