Hello! My name is Mette Witus and it’s so nice to meet you!

I hope you will spend some time here and hopefully get inspired to get crafty with me!

My Crafty Beginnings

I was born in 1992 as the 4th (and last) child in a creative family – this means I have always had various crafty hobbies, e.g. drawing, warhammer, embroidery – and a very brief period with knitting (my grandmother gave up on teaching me, as I “strangled the knitting needles”).

Always doing many different things, but never sticking to one thing as I like to challenge myself with new and exciting things (or at least that is my excuse for my short attention span).

Card Making

Finally in late 2015 i discovered Copic coloring on YouTube with talented women such as Kristina Werner and Nichol Spohr and the amazing stamp company Mama Elephant.

I was also lucky enough that there was a scrapbooking store, called Picturing the World , not too far from me, which had some of the same stamp brands that I saw used online – That store would soon become one of my favorite places to visit with my sister.

Not too long after I had invested in my first few stamp sets and Copic Ciao markers I decided to attend a crafty event in the store – and I am so happy I did! Not only did I meet so many wonderful crafty women, but I also won one of the card making competitions.

Apparently I was lucky enough to impress the owner, and a few months after I was asked to be a guest designer – and since a design team member. Which was a bit surreal since I had maybe 3 stamp sets and 20 copic markers!

Much to my surprise I didn’t seem to grow tired of this new hobby, as I could keep finding new and exciting ways to challenge myself – or get inspired by all the other crafty people out there!

So much has change since beginning this hobby – I’ve met so many wonderful people and learned so much!  Hopefully I can help you learn something or inspire you to get crafty – which in my opinion is the best way to relax!
