Die Highlight | Mega Flipper

When I saw the new Mega Flipper Creative Cuts, I knew I wanted to try something different – a fun interactive invitation.

I started by setting up my text on my computer – making sure it would fit in the 4th rectangle (counting from largest to smallest) from Basic Rectangles. I also typed in the RSVP text, but so it would fit the 5th rectangle instead.

Once I had printed it on watercolor cardstock I cut each section of text out with the rectangle dies. Since I knew I would be adding water to it, making it warp, I also cut 4 of the 4th rectangle from grey cardstock.

I added blue pearlescent watercolor to the bottom of each text piece and splattered with the same color. Once they were completely dry, I glued them to the grey rectangle.

On the first one I cut out the Hooray word from the Hooray Wishes matching dies in silver and a few times from white, which I layered together and glued onto the rectangle.
I also white heat embossed one of the smaller sentiments on black cardstock and cut it out with the small label from Sentiment Strips and glued it on top. Finally, I added a few clear sequins.

I cut out the main Mega Flipper piece from the same grey cardstock, and the bottom pulling piece from silver cardstock.
I added my 4 rectangles to the Mega Flipper, and since they cover up most of the tab that needs to be pulled, I added the silver pull tab pieces to the edge, adhering them so you can see through the little arrow.

On the tab being pulled out I added the RSVP rectangle and finished off the card by mounting it on a piece of grey cardstock I cut out using the Scales Cover die.
