Just love the people and the sentiments included in the Hooray Wishes stamps and dies.
Today I thought I’d combine them with the new cute Inlaid Balloons creative cuts – You’ll certainly see more projects from me featuring these stamps and dies!
I started by cutting out each of the balloons from colored cardstock, then I cut a white background using the Galactic Cover die. From this I cut out the round balloon first and inlaid the colored round balloon, temporarily adhering it in place. This meant I could cut out the two other balloons and get them to overlap the round balloon, but still have them inlaid perfectly.
Once I had cut out all the balloons, I used some Copic markers and a white gel pen to add shadows and highlights to the colored cardstock. Then I glued down the white background to my card base and inlaid the colored balloons – they fit together perfectly like a little puzzle.
I white heat embossed one of the sentiments from Hooray Wishes on some back cardstock and cut it out using the Quick Stripes dies – You could mass produce sentiment strips easily this way! I glued the strip directly to the background, making sure to cover the start of the balloon strings.
The only thing left to do was stamp and color the group of people from Hooray wishes before cutting them out with the matching die. I popped them up using a bit of foam tape, placing them so their feet are standing on the sentiment strip.
