The new Merrygrams AEIOUY are soo cute with the critters around the letters – and they match the Whimsy Alphas perfectly!
I started this card by stamping the O and E images from Merrygrams AEIOUY and cut out the N and L from Whimsy Alphas to create my NOEL sentiment.
I colored in the critters and letters using my copics to make sure they matched up nicely.

Then I cut out the small rectangle from Sew Fancy using some white cardstock. I stamped the little trees from Merrygrams AEIOUY using some copic safe green ink and colored them in using a green copic marker. Then I used a red copic marker to color the stitched edges of the rectangle. Finally I added gold dots in between the trees and added gold along each of the stitch cuts too using a gold gel pen. I added this panel to a piece of light brown cardstock – I misplaced my kraft cardstock, so I cheated and used a light brown copic marker to color mine.
To mute down my DIY patterned paper with the trees, I cut a piece of vellum to fit behind the letters and drew some gold lines on it using the same gold gel pen. Then I added the letters directly to it. When I added it to my my card I used foam squares behind the letters to pop it up. I made sure there was enough vellum left hanging over the sides so I could fold it over and glue it behind the kraft piece.

Finally, I stamped and cut out one of the Easy Xmas Greetings sentiments and added it to the card using a few foam squares.
