Stamp Highlight | Oh Penguin Tree

I adore the new Oh Penguin Tree stamps, they’re just so cute piled up like that!

I started by stamping and coloring in the penguins, which is pretty quick, since they’re all basically the same colors. I cut the “tree” out using the matching die.

I knew I wanted to use both the Wishes and Family script to create my sentiment on the card, so I needed the extra space on a slim card.
I used the scallop rectangle from Slim Window Dressing to create the base for my card.

I masked off the scallop edges and ink blended a blue background which fades out to white at the very top of the card.
Then I stamped a bunch of the different snowflakes from the Oh Penguin Tree set all over the background while my masks were still in place.

Then I added the penguin tree with some foam squares to the bottom of the slim card.

For the sentiment, I stamped some of the words from Holiday Messages on some left over white Quick Stripes pieces and cut them out to fit with the Wishes and Family Script dies to create the sentiment “Holiday wishes from our family to yours”.

I cut the script dies three times from white and once from gold glitter cardstock and glued them together. I glued down the stacked words to the top of the card, making sure I left space for the white word strips, which I added using foam squares.
