It’s time for the April stampede! And what a fun realease Mama Elephant has this month!
For my stampede project, I really wanted to use the new Boba Shaker Combo Creative Cuts. There’s so many cute ways to assemble them, either as coffee cups, boba tea and I’m sure there’s many others too.
I cut my cups from white cardstock, and in one of them I cut out face directly in the cup. Remember to keep the eyes and mouth. I also cut the sleeve from some blue cardstock and cut the face in that too, and an extra face from white cardstock.
I really wanted my cups to have little tongues in the mouth, so I colored the mouth and eyes with my copic markers and added highlights with a white gel pen. I also added little pink cheeks to the face area.
I really liked having the face inlaid in the cup/sleeve, but you could just glue the face pieces on instead if you prefer.
I cut out the coffee cup lid for one of the cups and glued it on. For the other cup I used a brown copic to color in the liquid in the cup – this is pretty easy since the die makes little embossed lines you can color inside of. I cut out the whipped cream and used another brown marker to add some caramel around it, also following the embossed lines from the die.
For the background on my card I used the Confetti Cover die and ink blended some light blue in the center. I backed it with some silver glitter cardstock.
The sentiment I silver glitter heat embossed on the same light blue cardstock as the sleeve, the sentiment is from Tea with Friends. I cut it out to a strip and backed it with some of the same silver glitter cardstock.
