Stamp Highlight | Zodiac Dragon

I thought it would be really cute to have the dragon come out of its egg for a birthday card!

Since I needed an egg big enough for the dragon to fit inside, I stamped my dragon twice – one to color, and a second one to draw an egg around. Once I had drawn my egg, I cut it out and flipped it around since an egg is more or less symmetric. Then I colored it and my dragon using my Copics.

I initially wanted to make a tag, so I cut out the tag from Artist Mat and created a shimmering blue watercolor background across most of the tag. But since I create so many tags, I figured I would mount it on a card this time, so I cut the Scales Cover die from some light grey cardstock, cut off the edges and added it to a white cardbase.

Once my tag was dry, I gold heat embossed the magical Bday sentiment from Scripty Bday on it.
Then I added the dragon and his egg to it, popping up the dragon with foam squares.
All that was left to do then was tie a bow to the tag and add it to the card with some foam tape.

Super simple way to upgrade your tags to cards if you’re like me and have piles of tags, but not that many cards.
