Welcome to my Stampede project! I simply adore the new Sugar Cookie dies and knew they would make great shaker tags from the moment I saw them. Especially combined with the sentiments from Baked with Love – Almost can’t wait to get the Christmas baking started so I can tie these to the goodies I’m giving away.

I started off by cutting each sugar cookie with the two layers attached, basically cutting out a frame and the insert in the middle. I used different colors of cardstock for the cookies, and ink blended the bottom of them with matching colors. I used some post its to keep the middle in place while I ink blended. While I had my dies attached together with some tape, I cut them from some foam sheets as well.

Then I cut two each of the large sugar cookies. To one I glued the middle of the colored piece, make sure to use the outside frame you cut to align it just right, then glue the foam frame around it. The second one I used as the back side, which opens as a flap. To attach the two together, I used one of the hole reinforcers from Tags A Lot, which I glued to the inside of the tag.

I also cut the large sugar cookie pieces from acetate and glued my colored frames to them. Then I filled up my shakers with matching sequins and beads before gluing the acetate to the foam frame.

To add some text to my tags, I cut a few mini tags from vellum and silver heat embossed some of the sentiments from Baked with Love on them – they fit perfectly!

The final touch was tying it all together and of course, adding a little penguin!

  1. I love shakers more than anything and these are all just darling.
I love making ornaments like this for my nieces & nephews, but I
also love that they are a tag and could then be used as an ornament.
