Stamp Highlight | Me and My Robot

Today the Mama Elephant design team is highlighting the new Me and My Robot stamps and dies
For my project, I’ve made this fairly simple super hero card by combining the awesome robot and child with a sentiment from Tiny Heroes

To start off my card I stamped and colored my images, before cutting them out with the matching dies

Instead of using a standard cardbase, I cut a 4 ¼ x 11 inch piece of light gray cardstock, scored it at 2 inches and 7 ½ inches, which gave me an asymmetric gatefold card.

I then cut a white bellyband for my card, which is 2 inches wide. I decorated this with sun rays cut from light yellow cardstock, basically very skinny triangles, making sure each ray started from the bottom center.

The belly band was made by folding the ends of the cardstock strip to the back of the card and adhering them together, leaving enough wiggle room to make sure it would be easy to slip on and off.

Then I glued my robot and girl on top of the sun ray, making sure they were somewhat centered.

For my sentiment, I stamped the Tiny Heroes text in the bottom right corner of the card, followed by the sentiment from Me and My Robot on top, creating one big sentiment. Then I could slip the belly band over the card base, making sure it kept the two flaps closed and hidden.

If you’d like, you could even glue the 2 inch flap at the top and bottom to create a small pocket for a gift card or money gift, and still have plenty of room for a message.
