Isn’t The Wild Roar stamp set just amazing?
As soon as I saw it I fell in love, and just KNEW I had to make some tags with it.
So today I have these two tags to show you – one with normal coloring, and one with no line coloring – I just couldn’t help myself.
I started off my project with cutting two of the new Artist Mat tags from Neenah cardstock for my Copic coloring.
For both tags, I used the inside of the die as a stencil to draw after with a copic safe pen, giving me the black outline on the Neenah tags.
When I stamped my images, I masked off the edges outside the outline, as well as some of the animals that would not be showing very much. This also meant I drew in the rest of the ear of the elephant on the normal colored tag.
Then I simply colored in each of the animals, trying to use different tones of grey for the hippo, elephant and koala. As the final touch on each of the animals I added white gel pen dots to their eyes, and for some of them their noses too.
Because I didn’t want to stamp a sentiment on top of my cute animals, I cut two more tags from vellum, and instead of a black pen I used a silver gel pen to do my outline.
Then I stamped the sentiment from Scripty Bday and heat embossed it using silver embossing powder.
Then all that was left to do was tie the tags together with the vellum on top.
