Stamp Highlight | Wish Upon A Star

Today we are highlighting the amazingly cute Wish Upon A Star stamps and dies. I’m showing two different cards today where I have water colored the cute little bunnies.

I started off stamping the images on watercolor cardstock using the Distress Oxide Pumice Stone ink to heat emboss with clear embossing powder. This creates a nice soft outline for the images.

Then I water colored them using Tombow Dual Brush Markers – This was done by scribbling a bit of color onto my glass mat, picking it up with a waterbrush and coloring away.

When the images were dry, I cut them out using the matching dies.

To make the blue background I first die cut a piece of watercolor cardstock using the biggest die from the new Sweet Feline die set. Then I used my blue Tombows on a piece of plastic, added a tiny bit of water, and smooshed it onto my background. This I did in several layers before I was satisfied with how it looked.

When my background was completely dry I heat embossed the sentiment, I love you to the moon and back using silver embossing powder and added it to my light blue card base.
Then I added the cute bunny on the moon on top of my blue smooshed area using foam squares before adding small iridescent star sequins scattered around the background.

For the galaxy background, I added plenty of water to a piece of watercolor cardstock and added blue, black and pink Tombow colors using a big watercolor brush and my glass mat. When that was dry, I splattered a bit of white paint over it to create little stars.

For this card, I cut a piece of A2 cardstock into two pieced, one a bit bigger than the other. Then I used one of the edges of the new Sweet Feline die to cut a pretty edge on both pieces.

On the bigger piece, I heat embossed the Make a wish upon the brightest star sentiment using silver embossing powder.

Then I added the galaxy piece where I wanted it and added the white pieces around it using foam squares. I made sure my bunny was still big enough to bridge the gap and added him on top.

Then I added the little star sequins scattered around the card – it would also be really cute heat embossing the stars from the stamp set!
