KISS – Wedding Layout

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Just so happens that today it is also 6(!!) years since I started dating my husband – so I figured I would make a wedding layout to celebrate. This time in 8×8 inches.

My layout started by coloring some of the gorgeous “Beautiful Flowers” by Simon Says Stamp. I colored up the loose flowers and then the leaves and bud on the bouquet – this allowed me to layer up the flowers, giving a tiny big of depth. If it had been a card, I would have used foam squares to pop them up, but since it needs to go in an album, I simply used cardstock.

To have them blend in better I added black edges using my Memento marker.

The coloring is done using my alcohol based markers – primarily Copics and a single touch marker.

To add a softer feel to my florals, I cut the wonderful “Skeleton Leaves” by Tim Holtz out of vellum, and added them around my colored flowers.

My photo is layered on a single piece of white painted woodgrain patterened paper and then added onto my background, which is white cardstock mounted on a piece of dotted patterned paper.

Finally my title and hearts were die cut out of gold glitter cardstock. The amazing letters are from the “Bold Alphabet” by Altenew, while the hearts are a mix of “Lots of Hearts” and “Confetti” both by Mama Elephant.
